Auralia Mannequin

Hi Lovelies,

Once again the wonderful Helen has been busy designing another
beautiful mannequin to teach for our ladies.
Here are a few sneak peak photos of this
stunning angel mannequin.

This little angel is all about soft, neutral tones, layers upon layers of lace,
delicate organza ribbon and pretty pearls.

For the special occasion of Christmas, Helen has expanded her talents
and created her own feather wings for this beautiful angel.

This exquisite skirt is created by sewing layers of intricate lace together.
The different textures, colours and patterns of the lace is what makes this mannequin truly stunning.

Some adorable tassels have been scattered across the skirt, the perfect
finishing touch to this beautiful angel mannequin.

Helen is always designing new mannequins to be taught in store.
If you love these gorgeous mannequins as much as we do,
why not call to book a seat in our next mannequin class.

Monday Card Class

Hi Lovelies,

The cards I'm sharing with you today have been designed
by the lovely Liz for a Monday Card Class.

The Darkroom Door montage page 'Art De Fleur' includes various
dusty red, pink and orange flower cut out panels and was used at the feature for these cards.

Embellishments including seam binding, cabochons and lace
were added to compliment the montage cut-outs.

Your favorite small patterned embossing folder, some muslin and a paper doily
is all you need to add to make a beautiful card like this, suitable for any occasion.

This card features three of the montage pieces and fussy cut blossoms,
complimented with a die cut doily and a crochet cotton bow.

The blossoms were fussy cut from the lovely Fab Scraps page
'Botanical Bulb' from the C86 range while the backgrounds
of the cards used the reverse side of the page.

I hope these cards have inspired you to do something creative today.
If you wish to create your own version of these cards we have some stock left in store.

Art Journal 28th July

Hi Lovelies,

Here is one of our previous Art Journal Technique classes ran by the wonderful Helen.
Lots of tearing, stamping and inking was involved in the process of this
gorgeous page which ensured the ladies had bundles of fun!

For the statement of the page, ladies created four tags using Distress Oxides
and torn music paper to feature stamped dragonflies.

Helen used layers of book paper, music paper, stenciled texture paste and
script stamps to build up the background of the page.

Helen's Art Journal pages quite often include a quote, phrase or sentiment.
For this page the quote "Art has no rules so have fun!" was included across both pages.

Helen used a multi-size circle stencil and some texture paste to add dimension to the page.
The texture paste can be inked lightly with your favourite colour to lift it off the page.

Little rings of jute twine were added to the tags and
look like the busy flight paths of the dragonflies.

Every week there's something new to learn in our Art Journal classes and new
memories to be made with the lovely ladies who come along.
If you wish to join in the fun please call to book.

June Card of the Month

Hi Lovelies,

Today I'd love to show you a few of the beautiful cards from June's Card of the Month kit.
For anyone who's favourite flowers are roses, you will absolutely love these cards.

This month the cards were designed by the gorgeous Annie using Ultimate Craft's paper range 'Rambling Rose'.
The range is filled with delicate pink, purple and yellow roses, birds and butterflies.

To create a beautifully seamless card front, Annie has mixed the Cherish Me Doily die
with the Martha Stewart Half Daisy Edge Punch.

Annie has fussy cut the yellow roses from this paper range to create a lovely lemon card.
To add dimension, two of the coordinating bunting pieces were tucked into the rose cluster.
The 'Grateful' Stamp & Die Set was used to create a beautiful verse and is the perfect finish to any card.

Sometimes all you need is a little bit of foam tape to create a feature element. Here Annie has mounted a frame with foam tape and finished off with tiny pearl bling in each corner.

July Layout of the Month

Hi Lovelies,

Today's post is the stunning Double Layout for July using Graphic 45's 'Nature Sketchbook'.
The bold, bright colours in this range were just destined to create a fun filled layout as such.

This month the pages are scattered with vibrant butterflies,
hand died flowers and die-cut ferns.

Helen has used a selection of Tim Holtz Distress Inks including 'Candied Apple', 'Blueprint Sketch'
and 'Wild Honey' to die paper flowers, ensuring they match the colours in the paper range.

These adorable little butterflies have been fussy cut
and finished off with a coat of glossy accents.

As Helen has done, when using beautifully patterned papers like Graphic 45's,
a simple plain cardstock background can make all the elements jump off the page,
creating a striking layout.

If you're loving our posts about the Layout of the Month kits, why not contact us to be put on our pre-order list to make sure you never miss out!

April Card of the Month

Hi Lovelies,

Although Easter is long gone now,
there's never a time when super cute baby animals are not appropriate.

Today I'm sharing with you these adorable cards designed by Linda for our April Card of the Month.

Using Blue Fern's 'Spring Parade', six beautifully intricate cards were made.
Each one of them overflowed with cuteness thanks to the bunnies, chicks and pastel flowers which decorated the pages.

As always, Linda brought the papers to life by fussy cutting the little animals and embellishing with punched butterflies, delicate crochet cotton, muslin and tiny bling.

The Ultimate Crafts Embossing Folder 'Antiquity' was used to add a
delicate texture to the background and tag on this precious card.

This card perfectly showcases how a bit of bling and
Glitzin Glamour can make any project stand out.

Here's a closer snapshot of the pretty little flowers sprinkled all over the card,
each with a tiny gold bling center.
