Winter Wonderland Mega Scrap

Hi Lovelies,

With only a few days left till our final Mega Scrap for the year,
I thought I might tease you with a few sneak peek photos
from these STUNNING layouts!

Helen has used the sparkling new Graphic 45 range 'Winter Wonderland'
to create ten gorgeous layouts for the ten lucky ladies attending!

The range is filled with adorable little birds amongst pine trees, holly and poinsettia,
you might even spy a few tiny squirrels!

Each layout is unique and involves various techniques which
can be used in all of your other projects.

Our Mega Scrap classes are truly something special as
Helen is so talented, caring and entertaining.

I don't know about you, but these layouts are just stunning! I can't take my eyes off them. Look at this stunning chipboard accent with a beautiful layer of shimmery glitter.

Our Mega Scrap Classes often sell out right away, so if you're lucky enough
to be coming this Saturday, I hope you enjoy all that we have planned!
If not, keep an eye out for the next Mega Scrap in March 2018!

Vintage Artistry Double Layout

Hi Lovelies,
What says Spring more than loads of beautiful butterflies,
adorable little birds and wispy ferns?
Not much I don't think.

These beautiful images come from Helen's
Double Layout Class featuring 'Vintage Artistry' by 49 and Market.
The collection is just stunning and Helen has truly done it justice by turning it into
a wonderful double page creation!

Helen used a lovely chipboard sentiment from Celebr8's collection 'Good Vibes'.
A finishing touch of Glossy Accents was added to
the chipboard and fussy-cut butterflies.

This style of layout is the perfect way to use up all your left over pieces of paper,
ribbon cut-offs and anything else you could think of!
Sounds great to me!

Helen created this adorable pocket from some of the Vintage Artistry embellishments.
It could be used purely for decorative purposes or the perfect little
place to store keepsakes and letters.

The various layers of paper, hessian ribbon, music paper, metal embellishments
and fussy-cut elements makes this layout truly stunning.

We still have some of these lovely papers in store if you wish to create
something beautiful like Helen has!

Go Press and Foil Fun

Hi lovelies,

Yesterday a couple of ladies joined me for
a morning of playing with the
Couture Creations Go Press and Foil Machine.

We had such a fun time,
and ladies created some
lovely samples.

Some we turned into card fronts

and some even got
turned into cards.

Everything was going along just fine.

Then we started foiling ribbon.
One of the ladies used the "Celebrate" Stamp
to create this.

We were all thought that the stamp was faulty.
We even went so far as to call
the lovely ladies at ArtDeco Creations
to ask if anyone else had experienced the same problem.
Then we found out that if you put it the correct way up
it is just perfect.

I often joke that we "Hill-folk" are a little different.

We laughed and laughed.
Hope it made you smile.

Christmas Countdown

Hi Lovelies,

It's coming to that time of the year again where everything seems to turn red, green
and covered in glitter (not that there's anything wrong with that!).

However, things can get a little stressful,
so the wonderful Helen has designed this Mixed Media
Christmas Countdown to help you wind down and keep track of the days.

This 14 x 14" Countdown board features an interchangeable panel
which can be a fun weekly task for kids, or a simple reminder for how many
weeks there are left to plan the Christmas menu.

There are so many gorgeous little embellishments adorning the surrounding frame,
including vintage stamp cutouts, twine bows, shiny jingle bells,
 pine sprigs and straw stars.

What's Christmas without Nutcrackers?
Helen couldn't forget these tiny little men and these ones are just way too sweet.

Some glittery Christmas sentiments are also nestled in among the pine sprigs.

This Christmas Countdown is a bundle of fun to create and can be kept for
many years or given away as a precious Christmas present.

This class cannot be missed and will be held on October 21st.
Embellishments and papers will vary.
Spaces are very limited so please call our lovely ladies
at the Scrap N Patch to book your seat.

Auralia Mannequin

Hi Lovelies,

Once again the wonderful Helen has been busy designing another
beautiful mannequin to teach for our ladies.
Here are a few sneak peak photos of this
stunning angel mannequin.

This little angel is all about soft, neutral tones, layers upon layers of lace,
delicate organza ribbon and pretty pearls.

For the special occasion of Christmas, Helen has expanded her talents
and created her own feather wings for this beautiful angel.

This exquisite skirt is created by sewing layers of intricate lace together.
The different textures, colours and patterns of the lace is what makes this mannequin truly stunning.

Some adorable tassels have been scattered across the skirt, the perfect
finishing touch to this beautiful angel mannequin.

Helen is always designing new mannequins to be taught in store.
If you love these gorgeous mannequins as much as we do,
why not call to book a seat in our next mannequin class.

Monday Card Class

Hi Lovelies,

The cards I'm sharing with you today have been designed
by the lovely Liz for a Monday Card Class.

The Darkroom Door montage page 'Art De Fleur' includes various
dusty red, pink and orange flower cut out panels and was used at the feature for these cards.

Embellishments including seam binding, cabochons and lace
were added to compliment the montage cut-outs.

Your favorite small patterned embossing folder, some muslin and a paper doily
is all you need to add to make a beautiful card like this, suitable for any occasion.

This card features three of the montage pieces and fussy cut blossoms,
complimented with a die cut doily and a crochet cotton bow.

The blossoms were fussy cut from the lovely Fab Scraps page
'Botanical Bulb' from the C86 range while the backgrounds
of the cards used the reverse side of the page.

I hope these cards have inspired you to do something creative today.
If you wish to create your own version of these cards we have some stock left in store.

Art Journal 28th July

Hi Lovelies,

Here is one of our previous Art Journal Technique classes ran by the wonderful Helen.
Lots of tearing, stamping and inking was involved in the process of this
gorgeous page which ensured the ladies had bundles of fun!

For the statement of the page, ladies created four tags using Distress Oxides
and torn music paper to feature stamped dragonflies.

Helen used layers of book paper, music paper, stenciled texture paste and
script stamps to build up the background of the page.

Helen's Art Journal pages quite often include a quote, phrase or sentiment.
For this page the quote "Art has no rules so have fun!" was included across both pages.

Helen used a multi-size circle stencil and some texture paste to add dimension to the page.
The texture paste can be inked lightly with your favourite colour to lift it off the page.

Little rings of jute twine were added to the tags and
look like the busy flight paths of the dragonflies.

Every week there's something new to learn in our Art Journal classes and new
memories to be made with the lovely ladies who come along.
If you wish to join in the fun please call to book.
